WAB interim bantamweight champion Hugo “Cuatito” Ruiz (30-1, 27 KOs) will make the fourth defense of his interim belt against Nicaraguan challenger Jean Sampson (12-1, 7 KOs) on July 7 at a site to be named in Mexico. In another fight, female world champion Arely “Ametralladora” Muciño (15-2, 8 KOs) will defend her WBA flyweight world crown against former champ Hollie “Hot Stuff” Dunaway (23-10, 10 KOs). WBC silver lightweight beltholder Abdiel “Mortero” Ramirez (14-0-1, 13 KOs) will face former world challenger Rene “Chirizo” Gonzalez (29-5, 22 KOs). The event is presented by Promocions del Pueblo and Sampson Boxing.
