Ruslan Chagaev will enter the ring tonight against Wladimir Klitschko wearing his WBA world championship belt and he remains WBA heavyweight champion (in recess), however as previously reported only the WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight titles will be on the line. “Ruslan is still world champion,” said Universum promoter Klaus-Peter Kohl. “Tonight, however, he will not box for his WBA belt. Beyond that, the WBA still hasn’t decided anything. Our focus is now on the fight against Wladimir Klitschko. Everything else we’ll see about afterwards.”
