Russian boxing stars invade the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington, on Saturday with WBO #4 featherweight Andrey Isaev (21-1, 7 KO’s) against Derrick Campos (20-6, 11 KOs) as the headliner. “I am very excited about this fight. Both fighters are on winning streaks. It will be a great main event,” said promoter Brian Halquist. Also on the card are up and coming featherweight Vyacheslav Gusev (16-2, 3 KOs) and lightweight Alishir Rahimov (19-0, 11 KOs). “This is a great opportunity for both the Russian and U.S. fighters,” said Halquist. “Gusev and Rahimov have built their record in Russia and haven’t fought western fighters. This will be a true test for all of these fighters. Ultimately, the fight fans are going to witness world class fighters competing.” Gusev is facing Thomas Snow (11-1, 8 KOs), while Rahimov takes on Aaron Dominguez (10-3, 6 KOs). Tickets are $75, $40 and $25. Call 253-594-7777.
