This past Thursday night at the Hilton Rye Town Hotel in Rye Brook, NY, former USBA light heavyweight champion David Telesco (30-6-1, 25 KOs) proved once again that age is just a number as the forty-one year old dropped journeyman Will “Big Deal” Gill (9-24, 7 KOs) twice, en-route to a spectacular second round knockout in the eight round main event. The six bout card promoted by Joe DeGuardia of Star Boxing had several entertaining bouts, including a exciting semi-final scrap, in which late replacement super featherweight Victor “The Viper” Valenzuela (6-0, 1 KO) of Passaic, NJ pulled out a six round split decision victory over local favorite Pasqual Rouse (20-14-3, 11 KOs) of Yonkers, NY.
