Saldivia retains belt in Uruguay!

Argentine welterweight Hector “El Tigre” Saldivia retained his WBA Fedelatín title via unanimous decision over Colombian William Morelo this weekend at the Estadio Cr. Gaston Guelfi in Palacio Peñarol in Montevideo, Urugüay. The decision of the judges after eleven rounds was 108-104 1/2, 107-102 and 108-102. Saldivia dominated almost all the fight, dropping Morelo in the third round.
In other results, Argentina’s Marcos Hector Vergara scored a third round TKO over local favorite Rafael Sosa Pintos in a bout for the interim WBC Latino light middleweight title and Alejandra “Locomotora”Oliveras from Argentina win by unanimous decision against Adriana Salles of Brqazil in a 10 rounder for the vacant WBA Fedelatin featherweight title.
