IBF super featherweight world champion Juan Carlos Salgado (25-1-1, 16 KOs), will defend his crown for the third time against former WBA champion Jonathan Barros (34-2-1, 18 KOs) on August 4 at venue to be determined in an event presented by Promociones del Pueblo. Salgado is coming off a majority decision win over Martin “Brochas” Honorio in April, while Barros beat Gustavo Bermudez in Montevideo, Uruguay on June 23. Barros lost his title to Celestino Caballero in October 2011.
