American referee Wayne Hedgepeth will be the third man in the ring when Mexican IBF super featherweight champion Juan Carlos Salgado (26-1-1, 16 KOs) defends in a rematch against Dominican challenger Argenis Mendez (20-2, 10 KOs) on Saturday night at the Hangar, Costa Mesa, California. Hedgepeth also refereed their first fight in 2011. The three judges and fight supervisor are also all are from the US: Marty Denkins, Gwen Adair and Fernando Villarreal. The fight supervisor is Aaron Kizer.
