Former WBA super featherweight champion Juan Carlos Salgado (24-1-1, 16 KOs) will face Mexican countryman Sergio “Yeyo” Thompson (18-2, 17 KOs) in a ten rounder on the “Prieba de Fuego” card headlined by WBC light flyweight champion Gilberto Keb Bas against former world champion Jose Antonio Aguirre. Thompson is the WBC Mundo Hispano featherweight champion. The event takes place February 26 at the Polifórum ‘Zamná’ in Mérida, Yucatan, presented by Cancun Boxing, HG Boxing and Arjona Promotions.
