Salvador Sanchez II, the nephew of the late great Salvador Sanchez, is ready to make his return to the U.S. for a bout sometime in September. With the anniversary 30th of his uncle’s passing just around the corner (August 12th), the timing could not be better for Sanchez who is ranked #9 by the WBC and has a record of 30-4-3 and holds the WBC CABOFE featherweight belt. “I am now ready for my return to the US. We had some great fights in Mexico which we used to gain the necessary experience for title contention and now I want the winner of the Johnny Gonzalez and Ponce de Leon fight. We were scheduled to fight Gonzalez on July 7 but an agreement couldn’t be reached,” said Sanchez II.
