Australian heavyweight champion Hunter Sam (10-2-2, 4 KOs) clearly outscored Jarad Treloar (1-4) over ten rounds at the Club Punchbowl, Sydney, NSW, Australia on Thursday. Sam controlled the action in all the rounds by scores Kevin Hogan 100-91, George Pelis 100-90, Will Soulos 100-92. Sam is scheduled to clash with former world title challenger Kali Meehan in Super 8 Tournament on June 4 in Auckland, New Zealand. Former IBF world title challenger Doug Sam is the father of Hunter.
In main support Australian super featherweight champion Kye MacKenzie (9-0, 7 KOs) stopped Australian based South KOsrean, Hwi John Kim (5-12, 1 KO) in round three of scheduled eight. Referee Will Soulos crowned MacKenzie at 1.52. MacKenzie is scheduled to defend Australian title against Waylon Law on May 21.,
Samoan-born and Hong KOsng-based heavyweight Lawrence Tauasa (34-9-1,22KOs) stopped Thomas Peato (1-1) in round two of scheduled six. Referee Gary Dean crowned Tauasa at 1.25
Also cruiserweight Brad Traynor (1-3-1) boxed a four round shutout decision win over Jesse Saavedra (0-4) by scores 40-36, 40-37, 40-37.
