By Ray Wheatley — World of Boxing

Classy Thai flyweight Rusalee Samor (18-3, 8 KOs) scored a twelve round decision over Romnick Magos (7-2, 3 KOs) at Trat City Sports Center, Trat City, Thailand on Friday. Southpaw Samor outworked Magos in round one but the aggressive Filipino connected with accurate combinations in round two to edge the round. Samor stepped up the action in rounds three, four and five but Magos came back strong in round six and seven. The IBF Pan Pacific champion dug deep to out score Magos in rounds eight and nine connecting with power head and body shots that visibly hurt the visitor but the tough Filipino had a good round ten scoring with solid combos. For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
