Super flyweight David “Tornado” Sanchez (23-2-0, 18 KOs) scored a fifth round KO over Omar “Metralleta” Rosales (18-4-1, 15 KOs) on Saturday night at the Tecate Box Tour tent located at the Hector Espino Stadium in Hermosillo, Mexico. Sanchez dominated from the opening bell.
In an action-packed co-feature, unbeaten super flyweight Carlos “Principe” Cuadras (26-0-0, 22 KOs) secured a seventh round TKO over Ronald “Indio” Barrera (31-10-2, 19 KOs) to claim the WBC silver belt.
Former WBA interim super flyweight titleholder Drian Francisco (23-1, 18 KOs) scored a first round KO over Jose Carlos “Coy” Vargas (15-7-1, 7 KOs).
In a bantamweight clash, Alejandro “Cobrita” Gonzalez Jr (14-0-1, 9 KOs) needed only 40 seconds to annihilate Alvaro Ivan Calderon (4-2, 1 KO)
