Sanchez, Segura victorious

Super flyweight David “Tornado” Sanchez (22-2-1, 18 KOs) won a majority decision over Marlon Tapales (21-2, 7 KOs) to claim the WBC Silver super flyweight belt on Saturday at the Gimnasio del Estado in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.

In the co-feature, former world champion Giovanni “Guerrero Azteca” Segura (29-2, 25 KOs) scored a ninth round TKO over Omar Salado (23-6-2, 14 KOs) in another super flyweight bout.
