Sartison continues comeback

Former WBA super middleweight champion Dimitri Sartison (28-1, 18 KOs) returns Saturday night to score a fifth round KO over Carlos Caicedo Vernaza (4-3-1, 4 KOs) in Hamburg, Germany. A left hook to the body finished Cascedo. It was Sartison’s second fight in his comeback following a serious knee injury that led to him giving up his world title. Sartison will now gear up for an April 21 clash with Universum stablemate and reigning WBA champion Karoly Balzsay.

In other action, cruiserweight cruiserweight Kai Kurzawa (28-4, 20 KOs) scored a fourth round KO over Levan Jomardashvili (25-6, 18 KOs) and heavyweight Christian Hammer (10-3, 6 KOs) stopped Serdar Uysal (13-16-2, 6 KOs) in round two. Uysal was down five times.
