Ex-WBA super middle champ Dimitri Sartison wins in comeback fight

Former WBA super middleweight Dimitri Sartison (27-1, 17 KOs) returned six months after a serious knee injury to win a majority decision over very mobile journeyman Arturs Kulikauskis (7-11-2, 4 KOs) by surprising scores of 79-77, 78-77 and 77-77 at the Bulle de Gerardchamps in Verviers, Belgium. “The opponent was perfect for me as he knew that after the surgery I wasn’t so nimble on my feet,” said Sartison. “He tried to stay away from me.” In the last three rounds, the ex-champ was able to catch Kulikauskas on the ropes and land clean punches.
