Former WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison (26-2-2, 15 KOs) returned to the ring for the first time since 2005 and had little problem stopping previously unbeaten Hungarian 18-year-old Gyorgy Mizsei Jr (7-1, 3 KOs) in a lightweight bout on Friday night at Kelvin Hall in Glasgow, Scotland. The 34-year-old Harrison, who was stripped of his world title after his life unraveled due to the ravages of alcoholism, dropped the very slim Mizsei with body shots three times in round two. The bout was waved off after Harrison dropped Mizsei again in round four. Time was 1:30.
Super featherweight John Simpson (23-9, 10 KOs) scored a sixth round KO over Paul Appleby (18-4, 11 KOs) in a bout for the BBBofC Celtic belt. Simpson dropped Appleby twice in round six.
