WBC middleweight champion Sergio “Maravilla” Martinez will undergo knee surgery on Monday in Madrid and his recovery time will take until the end of November or early December. Martinez has stated his intention to have his next fight and first title defense in Argentina. “My next fight will be in Argentina. It remains to be determined the opponent and place, but it will be in Argentina!” Martinez tweeted. He has not fought in Argentina since having moved to Spain in 2001.
