Serrano gets TKO win over Olivo

Brooklyn female sensation, by way of Carolina, Puerto Rico, Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (18-1-1, 13 KOs) demolished by third round TKO, Dominga Olivo (8-8-1, 0 KOs) in a 6 rounds Main Event, super featherweight division bout at the Resorts World Casino, Queens, New York. Early in the first round, both boxers began traiding hard shots but the stronger Serrano was landing the most acurates with solid combitations to the head and body. In round 2, Olivo began to fade with two look a like knockdowns that were ruled slips. Serrano continued the assault in round 3, until Olivo’s corner stopped the fight at 1:18.

“It was a great fight, a fan friendly fight” Amanda said “Dominga is a warrior. I felt fast and strong, landing great combinations, and my respect for Dominga, who showed great heart”.

The boxing card was promoted by New Legend Boxing, Old World Boxing and W.O.N Promotions.

At super featherweight (130lbs), Amanda is ranked #1 by the International Boxing Federation (IBF), # 2 by the World Boxing Association (WBA). In the World Boxing Council (WBC) she is ranked #5 at the featherweight division (126lbs).

On September 10, 2011, “The Real Deal” became the first female boxer in IBF history to win a super featherweight world title by defeating Kimberly Connor (10-2-2, 4 KOs) by way of knockout in the first round. Later, on February16, 2013, Amanda captured the featherweight Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) and Women’s International Boxing Association (WIBA) world titles by defeating Dominican localist, Wanda Pena Ozuna (8-5, 2 KO) by TKO in the first round.
