Former WBA bantamweight world champion Wladimir Sidorenko and WBO cruiserweight title challenger Alexander Alekseev will return to the ring on May 2 in Bremen, Germany. The “Mini-Power Station” Sidorenko will face current WBA champion Anselmo Moreno (24-1-1, 8 KOs) is a rematch of his controversial points loss one year earlier. “I feel I was cheated out of the win,” said Sirorenko at a press conference at the Maritim-Hotel in Bremen. “I want to take my belt back.” Cruiserweight Alexander Alekseev (16-1, 15 KOs) also wants to get back on track after being upset by Victor Ramirez in January in a bout for the vacant WBO interim belt. Alekseev will now take on Contender Season Three contestant Max Alexander (14-4-2, 2 KOs). “I don’t always want to remain a contender, but to become the world cruiserweight champion, he said. “Here in Bremen I want to take the first step on the way.”

Headlining the card is the popular unbeaten WIBF/WBC featherweight world champion Ina Menzer (23-0, 9 KOs) defending her belt against Franchesca “The Chosen One“ Alcanter (18-8-1, 9 KOs). The photogenic Menzer aims to keep her status as a ZDF successor to legendary Regina Halmich. Universum is returning to Bremen nearly ten years after the appearance of Dariusz “Tiger” Michalczewski in the same city.
