“Allan Green is a good fighter, I know that, but he isn’t better than me,” says unbeaten Tarvis Simms (25-0-1, 11 KOs), the twin brother of former world champion Travis Simms. “This is an opportunity for me to show the fans and to show the world who Tarvis Simms really is.” Simms meets Green Friday night in a 10-round super middleweight affair LIVE on ShoBox: The New Generation on SHOWTIME at 11 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the west coast) from the First Council Casino in Newkirk, Okla. For the 38-year-old Simms the future is now. “At this stage of my career I can’t afford to start over, and I don’t plan to,” continued Simms. “I don’t know how to lose. Winning this fight will do miracles for my career, so for now I have one thing on my mind and that’s going to Oklahoma and beating Allan Green.” Simms’ promoter Joe DeGuardia added “This is a huge opportunity for Tarvis, who has been looking for his ‘break out’ fight. A win against Green, who is widely considered to be one of the top super middleweights in the world, opens a lot of doors.”
