Friday night at the Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, USBA champion Lajuan Simon (22-2-2, 12 KOs) retained his title with a twelve round unanimous decision win over game challenger Elvin Ayala (20-4-1, 9 KOs). The fight started out like the title was going to change hands as Ayala won the first two rounds on all scorecards. But in the third round Simon took over and proceeded to win the remaining ten rounds on one card and nine of the remaining ten on the other two scorecards. The final scores were 118-110, 117-111 and 117-111 The card was promoted by Guilty Boxing….full report and photo gallery coming.
