In a nationally televised contest, Australian lightweight champion Brett Smith (13-1-1, 7 KOs) will return to ring action on Friday against Chaiyong Sithsaithong (28-8-3, 21 KOs) over twelve rounds in an IBF regional title bout at the Mansfield Tavern, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Smith’s only loss came at the hands of Australian based Filipino Jack Asis who also holds a win over Sithsaithong. In a supporting featherweight state title bout over eight rounds Jason Cooper (3-1-1, 2 KOs) will meet Emmanuel Micallef (2-8-3, 1KO). Classy female super bantamweight Shannon O’Connell ( 4-1, 3 KOs) will punch it out against Jubiang Lookmakarmwan (3-4) over eight rounds.
