Former Australian lightweight champion Brett William Smith (18-2-1, 9 KOs) stopped Non Sithsaithong (11-6, 7 KOs) in round three of the eight round main event at the Mansfield Tavern, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on Saturday. The referee saved the Thai boxer from further punishment at 2.24.
London Olympian Cameron “The Hammer” Hammond (8-0, 4 KOs) forced a four round stoppage of Michael Correa (3-9-3) in a scheduled six round light middleweight bout. The corner of Correa retired their boxer at the conclusion of round four.
Super featherweight Brent Elliot (11-4-3, 3 KOs) scored a six round split decision over Australian based-South Korean Hwi Jong Kim (5-11, 1KO). The South Korean has lived in Australia since 2012 and mixed it with the best including former world rated Rey Bautista and Matt Garlett also Australian Olympic representative Paul Fleming.
Aboriginal lightweight Waylon Law (8-5, 2 KOs) outscored Australian-based Filipino Robert Oyan (20-41-5, 7 KOs) over six rounds. Oyan has lived in Australia since 2005 and has boxed former world champions Gairy St Clair and Billy Dib, as well as world class Jackson Asiku, Tommy Browne, Lenny Zappavigna and Dean Byrne.
