Big win for the “OC Bomber” Joshua Snyder (8-3-1, 3 KOs) Saturday night in Cincinnati, Ohio. Snyder won an eight-round split decision over previously undefeated Aaron Pryor Jr (11-1, 8 KOs) at the Cintas Center on the campus of Xavier University. Snyder won by scores of 77-75 (twice). One judge scored the bout 79-72 for Pryor, son of the hall of fame welterweight champion. The Snyder camp says that their boxer was able to get inside the taller Pryor and eventually won the crowd over. Snyder is now unbeaten in his last four bouts and has topped four of the five undefeated boxers he has faced in his career (Earl Cole, Jimmy Lubash, John Mackey and Pryor). The only loss came in a tough eight-round majority decision to Jessie Nicklow in January of this year.
