Solis dethrones Ramos

Super featherweight Jorge “Coloradito” Solis (38-2-2, 28 KOs) claimed the WBA interim world title with a seventh round KO over reigning champion Likar Ramos (21-3, 15 KOs) on Saturday night in Mérida, Yucatán. Solis recovered from a third round knockdown to floor Ramos in the sixth and finish him with a body shot just as the bell rang to end the seventh. Time was 2:59. With the win, “Coloradito” Solis joins Ulises “Archi” Solis in the exclusive club of world champion Mexican brothers.
