Solis receives WBA regular belt

Having dethroned WBA champion Kohei Kono last Monday at the Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan, new WBA super flyweight world champion Liborio Solis was in Panama City on Thursday afternoon to receive his belt. Solis, who hails from Maracay, Venezuela, previously held the interim belt in the division and improved his record to 15-3-1, 7 KOs.

The belt was presented by WBA Executive Vice President Gilberto Jesus Mendoza.
