Four of the top 108 pounders in the world will in action this Saturday in “Top Rank Live” when former world champion Ulises “Archi” Solis takes on Bert Batawang in an 108 pound IBF world title eliminator and current world champion Giovani Segura takes on Roland Ramos in a non title bout. The show will take place in the “Plaza Pueblo Antiguo” and will televised by Fox Sports en Espanol at 9PM ET/6PM PT. The fight card will be open to the public free of charge.

“I’m very happy to be here in this city and look forward to putting a great show for the fans,” said Solis, the longtime IBF mini flyweight king, during a press conference today.
Batawang, who has been training in Los Angeles for this fight was also present at the press conference. “I have come a long way for this opportunity and will take full advantage of it. The first fight with Solis was very tough and I know I will need to be at my best to beat him,” said Batawang who lost to Solis in 2007 in a championship bout.
In the co-feature current WBA mini flyweight world champion Giovani Segura (23-1-1, 19 Kos) of Ciudad Altamirano, Guerrero, Mexico will take on Roland Ramos (28-7-3, 14 Kos) of Colombia in a 10 round non title bout.
“I’m very happy be coming back so soon after my victory last month in Acapulco. I want to take advantage of my great conditioning to get another win and to keep active while I wait for another of the world champions to feel brave enough to fight me and unify the titles,” said Segura.
Ramos who is ranked #6 by the WBA is happy to get a shot a Segura.
“As far as I am concerned, this is a world title fight. Segura is the champion and a win over him will put me in the map and maybe will get me the opportunity to fight for world title very soon,” said Ramos.
The weight-in will be Tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. local time at the Plaza Pueblo Antiguo. Officials for the IBF eliminator will be referee Wayne Kelly with judges Hilton Whitaker and Charles Dyer of the US and Alejandro López of Mexico.
