In what will be his eighth world title defense, WBC light flyweight champion Edgar Sosa (34-5, 18 KOs) will face tough Porsawan Porpramook of Thailand on March 28th. The fight will be held in Cuidad Victoria, hometown of WBC President Jose Sulaiman, the first title fight ever in this northern Mexican city. Porpramook (21-2, 16 KOs), a former Muay Thai (Thai kickboxing) champion and reputed to be a hard puncher, fought for the WBO minimumweight title in September of 2007, losing by decision to Filipino Donnie Nietes. The Thai boxer held the PABA straweight title for over five years and was also WBC Asian Council champion in the 105lbs class.
