Sosnowski planning return

By Piotr Momot,

Former heavyweight title challenger Albert Sosnowski will make his first ring appearance after his courageous performance against WBC champion Vitali Klitschko on September 25th in England. Exact location of the fight and Sosnowski’s opponent are going to be announced soon. It is expected to be an eight round tune-up before challenging newly crowned European champion Aleksander Dimitrenko in the winter. Sosnowski relinquished his EBU heavyweight belt when he agreed to fight with Vitali but now he wants to get back his title. Sosnowski started traning for his next fight in late June with his coach Fiodor Lapin. In the next couple of days he will do his first sparring session after the Klitschko bout.

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
