Soto Karass headlines in Tucson

With Antonio Margarito out with an injury, Mexican strongman Jesus Soto Karass (24-7, 16 KOs) from Los Mochis, Sinaloa, will now be headlining May 26th at the Casino Del Sol AVA Ampitheatre. The always crowd pleasing Soto Karass be facing Said “The Messenger” El Harrak (10-1-1). The card will be televised by TV AZTECA. Supporting Soto Karass will be undefeated and highly ranked prospect, Hanzel “El Tornadito” Martinez (17-0, 14 KOs). The brother-in-law of the former three- time world champion, Antonio Margarito, will be facing German Cruz (21-6-1, 16 KOs) for one of the WBC’s regional titles.

Also featured is the much-anticipated return of Jose Benavidez Jr. (14-0, 12 KOs). Jose is returning to the ring after a six month layoff due to a hand injury that needed surgery.

Promoted by Showdown Promotions, in association with Top Rank, the card will feature eight fights in all. Doors to the AVA Amphitheater at Casino Del Sol Resort will open at 5:30 PM, with first bell scheduled to ring at 6:00. Tickets available at
