Soto-Lopez Press Conference

The final press conference was held Thursday for Saturday big show at the Estadio Morelos y Pavon in Ecapetec, Mexico State, featuring three time world champion Humberto “Zorrita” Soto (58-8-28, 34 KOs) against WBF beltholder Jose “Piston” Lopez (17-2-1, 10 KOs) in an event organized by Promociones del Pueblo and broadcast of Televisa.

Humberto Soto: “My previous defeat was only because a bad night and I will prove that I am still among the first choices of world boxing and vow to confront and defeat a strong, young opponent.”

Jose “Piston” Lopez: “I will face a Mexican boxing legend. It will not be easy, but I have confidence that I will beat him. I’ve done excellent work in the gym and I have no doubt I’ll go out of the ring with my hand raised.”

Also showcard is junior welterweight Antonio “Kañas” Lozada Jr. (28-1, 24 KOs), who stated “I want to earn a place with the Mexican fans, who are a knowledgeable and demanding audience which can certainly see my performance and progress.”
