In a battle of world rated jr welterweight contenders, unbeaten former IBF lightweight champion and current WBA #11 jr welter Paul “The Pittsburgh Kid” Spadafora (47-0-1, 19 KOs) scored a ten round unanimous decision over WBO #14 Solomon Egberime (22-4-1, 11 KOs) on Saturday night at the Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Resort in Chester, West Virginia. Scores were 98-91, 97-94, 100-90.
Local lightweight Monty Meza Clay (34-3, 21 KOs) won an eight round unanimous decision over Emmanuel Lucero (26-14-1, 14 KOs). Scores were 77-75, 77-75 and a ridiculous 80-72.
Jr welterweight “Mr.” Peter Oluoch (12-6-2, 6 KOs) won a five round technical decision over Jake “The Bull” Giuriceo (16-2-1, 3 KOs). A headbutt left Giuriceo unable to continue in round five sending the bout to the scorecards where Oluoch was ahead 49-46, 48-47 on two cards, and Giuriceo was ahead 48-47 on the third card.
Super middleweight Morgan Fitch (8-0, 4 KOs) scored a first round KO over Cameron Allen (4-12, 2 KOs)
Welterweight Bill Hutchinson (5-1-2, 3 KOs) dropped Jose Caraballo (5-5, 1 KO) three times en route to a second round TKO.
