Former IBF lightweight champion Paul Spadafora (44-0-1, 18 KOs) scored an eith round TKO over Ivan Fiorletta (24-6-2, 7 KOs) on Friday night at War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Now fighting at welterweight, the slick Spadafora was connecting at will when the bout was waved off by referee Frank Gentile at the :40 mark.
In other action, comebacking heavyweight Willie Herring (12-6-3, 3 KOs) stopped recent Elijah McCall-conqueror Dieuly Aristilde (7-2, 1 KO) in round two.
In another heavyweight bout, Jason Barnett (12-10, 6 KOs) shocked previously unbeaten Erik “The Viking” Leander (8-1, 6 KOs).
