Light heavyweight contender Joey Spina (25-1-2, 17 KOs), rated in the top 15 by all four sanctioning organizations, was held to a majority draw by former world champion “Honey Boy” Lou Del Valle (36-6-2, 22 KOs) on Saturday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Spina had problems with the 41-year-old Del Valle’s southpaw style. Scores were 95-95, 95-95 and 97-93 for Del Valle. Fightnews scored it for Spina 97-95.
