At the final press conference on Wednesday supporting Friday night’s Don King-promoted fight card (SHOWTIME 11 p.m. ET/PT), St. Louis boxing stars Cory Spinks and Deandre Latimore headed off to Busch Stadium where they received some help from Cardinals mascot “Fredbird” before throwing out ceremonial pitches prior to a night game against the Mets. The former four-time world champion Spinks will take on once-beaten Latimore on Friday for the vacant IBF junior middleweight championship. WBC No. 1-ranked super welterweight Devon Alexander will take on Jesus Rodriguez in the co-feature.
