Powerful Adonis Stevenson (18-1 15KO) says what happens tonight at the Bell Centre in Montreal is all up to his opponent, Donovan George (23-2-1 20KO), and that the only thing that is guaranteed is the final result. “Don’t miss it, I will win,” Stevenson told FightNews shortly after he got off the scales Thursday afternoon in advance of his IBF super-middleweight elimination fight.

“It depends what he doing in there, I can do twelve rounds, I can go for the knockout, but I’ll be victorious Friday.” Stevenson admits though that the inevitable fire fight that fans are looking for is going to come, it’s only a matter of time. “I’m going to box this guy, he’s a power a puncher, I’m a power puncher, sooner or later he’ll make a mistake, and I’ll make him pay for his mistake.”

One thing that will be missing in the powerful southpaw’s attack is his trainer Emanuel Steward who remains bed ridden in Detroit after surgery. “I haven’t spoken to him this week because he is in recovery,” said Stevenson, “The more he talks the more it hurts the muscle; he can’t really talk a lot right now. Now he’s just relaxing and doesn’t want to talk so it’s better for him if he doesn’t. This fight I dedicate to him and will fight with all my heart, this fight is my career and it’s very important I win this fight.”

The October 12th Stevenson-George event is available live at WealthTV is available on Verizon FiOS TV (channels 169 and 669 in HD), AT&T U-Verse TV (channels 470 and 1470 in HD), along with over 100 cable systems across the country. Click here for more information.
