Next Saturday, former champion Robert Stieglitz will be fighting in his hometown of Magdeburg against Arthur Abraham in a rematch for the WBO super middleweight world championship. This weekend Stieglitz wrapped up his sparring and the intense preparation phase.
“The sparring phase went really fine,” said Stieglitz. “I feel physically fit and mentally very strong. My coach Dirk Dzemski is completely satisfied and that’s saying something! Everything is ready. Arthur Abraham can come and the “Lion’s Den” is waiting for him. GETEC arena will be packed and the atmosphere is terrific. My fans, my SES team and I can’t wait for Arthur here in Magdeburg and together we’ll complete the mission to retake the championship belt.”
