WBC superflyweight title holder Suriyan Sor Rungvisai (20-4-1, 7 KOs) successfully kept his WBC crown as he won a unanimous decision over two-time WBA champion Nobuo Nashiro (15-4-1, 9 KOs) on Friday at National Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Although the action was a close affair, but it seemed Thailander mostly get little better, using his more accurate counterpunches to deny Japanese’s aggression. Nashiro gained the scores back in round nine and round ten as he displayed many right shots to the champion’s head. However, the better man was Suriyan who came back to dominate again with his fast jabs punctuated by right hooks until the final round. Scored: 119-109,116-113,115-113.
In others action, two-time WBC title challenger Napapol Sor Rungvisai (57-3-1,47 KOs) won a unanimous decision over Indonesian Eddy Comaro (24-13-4,9 KOs) to retain his ABCO superfeatherweight title. WBC#28 superfly Srisaket Sor Rungvisai (11-1,11KOs) dropped Yudi Arema twice before he scored a third round KO over the Indonesian and retained his ABCO 115lb for the first time. Also, WBC#25 bantam Yodchanchai Nakornluang (14-2,12 KOs) excitingly exchanged punches with Filipino Elmar Francisco (15-14-1,3 KOs) before he scored a 117-111,117-111,116-112 unanimous decision and retained his ABCO 118lb title for the first time.
