Sympathies for Jorge Marron

Fightnews.com would like to express its deepest condolences for Jorge Marron in the passing of his father, Ediberto Marron. Based out of San Diego, CA, Jorge Marron is best known as Don Chargin Promotions’ chief matchmaker but has worked with every major promotional company on southern California fight cards and throughout the United States. Most recently, along with Bobby D. Presents, Marron has revived the San Diego boxing scene by presenting fight cards on a regular basis. After battling cancer like a true champion, Ediberto Marron succumbed to the tragic disease earlier today. He was 79 years old. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 12th, California Memorial, 2200 Highland Ave., National City, CA, 91950, 4:00pm.
