Tapia imprisoned: Former world champion Johnny Tapia has been deemed a habitual offender by an Albuquerque judge, for violating probation on a drug conviction. He is looking to serve a mandatory one-year prison sentence.
Holm returns: Holly Holm will return to action on December 4 in Albuquerque. The six-time world champion in three weight divisions is seeking a top name to take on, anywhere from 140 to 154.
Villa a free agent: Former contender Tomas Villa, of Midland, Texas, who last fought against Rogers Mtagwa last December, in a fight many considered the best of 2008, is looking to return to the ring.
