Tatli defeats ex-champ Fana in Finland

Unbeaten lightweight Edis Tatli (26-0, 6 KOs) scored a twelve round unanimous decision over former world champion Mzonke Fana (32-7, 13 KOs) to retain his WBA Inter-Continental lightweight title on Saturday night at the Barona Areena in Espoo, Finland. Tatli was bigger, quicker and stronger, showing a fast jab, good movement and a higher workrate in a clear win. Scores were 117-111, 118-110, 118-110. Afterward Fana stated he suffered a shoulder injury in round four or five. Promoter: Pekka Maki/P3 Boxing.
