Taylor gets TV role

By Ray Wheatley — World of Boxing

Two time world title challenger Shannan Taylor (49-7-3, 36 KOs) is currently appearing on the hit Australian television series “Underbelly” which has been filmed in Sydney’s King Cross area. “I am excited to be starring in the Underbelly series,” said Taylor. “It’s about the underworld scene in Sydney during the 1980’s.” Taylor also revealed his upcoming plans in the ring. “I have a very important fight scheduled for November 27 against WBA #15 super middleweight Les Sherrington who I promise will be a KO victim,” he stated. In 2006 Taylor dropped a twelve round points decision to Arthur Abraham in an IBF 160 pound title attempt. In 2001 Shane Mosley stopped Taylor in eight rounds of WBC 147 pound title bout.

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
