World rated super middleweight Shannan Taylor will clash with WBA #15 Les Sherrington on November 27 at the Gold Coast Convention Centre, Broadbeach, Queensland, Australia. Taylor said: “I have trained very hard and Les Sherrington has shown me no respect for my career in what he said in his local newspaper. I will now make him pay by knocking him out. I dislike him that much-I might knock him out at next Wednesday’s press conference. He is an egg and I will be cracking him like the cheeky bastard he is.”
IBF #13 Taylor gave Anthony Mundine one of his toughest fights in 2009. Taylor dropped a twelve round decision to Arthur Abraham in 2006 in an IBF 160 title bout. He lost in six rounds to all time great Shane Mosley in 2001. Taylor knocked out former WBA lightweight champion Livingston Bramble in 1995 and scored a three round knockout over former IBF junior welterweight champion Jake Rodriguez.
Sherrigton dropped a twelve round decision to South Africa’s William Gare in 2008 and was stopped in six rounds by former WBA middleweight challenger Jamie Pittman. The Sherrington vs Taylor will be televised nationally by Foxtel cable television network.
