Tebebu defeats Lytwynenko

Australian light welterweight champion Addisu Tebebu (5-2-3, 1KO) defeated Mathew Lytwynenko (9-2-3, 5KOs) over ten rounds to retain the championship at the Grand Star Receptions, Altona North Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Friday. Tebebu won clearly by scores 97-93,98-94, 97-93. The Ethiopian born Tebebu represented his country at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and turned professional in Australia in 2001.

In other action super middleweight Zac Dunn (6-0, 6KOs) forced a three round stoppage of Zhang Yon (0-3) of China. Yon had suffered injuries and was retired at the conclusion of round three. Dunn is a former amateur star.

Also light welterweight Joebert Delos Reyes (9-4-1, 7KOs) out scored Andrew Wallace (9-1-1,5KOs) over six rounds.

Light middleweight prospect Darcy “The Fighting Cowboy”Ritchie (5-0, 1KO) stopped Jody Allen (2-7) in round three of a scheduled six. Ritchie holds 2011 wins over Ben Costello and Leroy Brown.

South Australian light middleweight Mark Dalby (3-4,1KO) outpointed Mehmet Ceyhan (0-1) over four rounds.

Debutant super middleweight Pratap Singh (1-0,1KO) stopped Ryan Mitchem (0-2) in round three.
