“Electronic Ringside Scoring” made its debut Saturday night in Mexico City as WBC judges used the new scoring system during the fight between Mariana Juarez and Ava Knight, leaving behind the traditional pencil and paper scorecards. A tablet called “Electronic Ringside Scoring” was brought to Mexico by “Mochican Sun” and it is a very effective system whereby the scores are sent to a computer that immediately totals the scores. WBC President Jose Sulaiman said he is very pleased with this system because the judges pay more attention to the fight rather than pondering their scorecards.
