On February 25th, Brevard County, Florida will make history when Telemundo broadcast BOXEO TELEMUNDO from the Palm Bay Center in Palm Bay, Fla. It will be the area’s first ever televised championship pro boxing event on a national stage. The Space Coast Tourism Office was instrumental in bringing in the event to Brevard County. “I want to thank Rob Varley and Kalina Subido for all the logistical support they provided for us to be able to broadcast from Palm Bay” said promoter Tuto Zabala Jr. All Star Boxing has decided to bill the event “A Tribute to Troy Harden” to pay respect to one of the most talented boxers to come from Brevard County. Sadly Harden was gunned down in 2006 ending what would have been an illustrious boxing career.
There will be total of seven bouts. The main event will be a championship fight for the vacant WBO jr. welterweight Latin title, hard puncher Americo Santos ( 26-3, 22 KOs) will face off 12 rounds with savvy southpaw from Jesus Pabon (16-1-10 KOs). All Star Boxing is looking to showcase local talent so therefore the undercard will be announced in the coming weeks.
