Hardened gauze pads confiscated from Antonio Margarito’s hand wraps contained calcium and sulfur, two of the primary elements of plaster of Paris, according to tests by a California State Department of Justice laboratory it has been reported by the LA Times. State supervising deputy attorney general Karen Chappelle told the paper that the State Athletic Commission’s decision to suspend Margarito and his trainer Javier Capetillo appear to be supported by the findings.
