The past two weeks have treated Javier Vazquez to a rollercoaster of emotions. First the Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace was scheduled to fight Pat Miletich-trained L.C. Davis. WEC returns to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, August 9 with a bout that will determine the best bantamweight fighter in the world. WEC bantamweight champion Miguel Angel Torres (36-1) defends his crown against the undefeated Brian Bowles (7-0). Torres, largely considered to be among the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport, hopes a win in August will cement his status as the best fighter in 135-pound history.
