Unbeaten world ranked middleweight Alex “El Principe” Theran (15-0, 9 KOs) returns to his native Barranquila in the main event versus Javier Carrerra (13-1, 10 KOs) of Mexico on November 15th. The site will be the Coliseo Elias Chegwin in Barranquilla, Colombia and the bout is scheduled for 12 rounds. The middleweight WBC and WBA Latino titles will be in play. The 22-year-old Theran has quietly earned his way into the world rankings and currently stand at #13 with the WBA at middleweight. Theran’s promoter Juan Carlos Devia (Pro Box del Caribe), who discovered the talented Theran as an amateur, will promote the event. In the amateurs, Theran defeated Brazilian Yamaguchi Falcao, the 2012 Olympic medalist who recently signed with Golden Boy Promotions. The co-feature will pit Colombian Luis Flores (14 1, 12 KOs) against Alfonso Perez (8-3, 6 KOs) of Venezuela in a 10 round lightweight bout. Win Sports will televise.
