It has been recently reported that general admission tickets for the PPV mega fight card “Latin Fury 8-Tijuana Thunder” being held at the Plaza de Toros Monumental in Tijuana, MX, on Saturday, March 28th will be free with a donation of canned goods or a kilo of dried food such as beans, rice or flour. The donations can be made at the Tijuana Municipal Palace, Mexico’s version of city hall or at La Mejor 97.7FM, a local regional radio station. It has also been reported that the floor of the 22,000 capacity venue has been set up as the VIP section with tickets being sold to the public. Preferred assigned seating runs from $75-$105 while the limited ringside seats are priced between $145-$175.
The fight card, which features the Son of a Legend Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (38-0-1, 29KO) facing off against Luciano Leonel Cuello (23-0, 10KO) of Argentina for the vacant WBO Latino light middleweight title, Humberto “Zorrita” Soto (46-7-2, 29KO) defending his WBC super featherweight title against Antonio Davis (26-4, 13KO) and Fernando “KOchulito” Montiel (38-2-1, 28KO) going after Diego Oscar Silva (24-1-3, 12KO) for the interim WBO bantamweight title, is being promoted by the City of Tijuana in association with Top Rank and Zanfer Promotions.
